My Collage Journey


Let's rewind to the beginning of my experience with collage. I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts, and then I went on to complete a masters in Art Education. My focus was on how art improves the mental health status of vulnerable populations., by offering an expressive outlet to negative pent-up emotions.


I found out that the seemingly simple act of cutting and rearranging bits of paper, could unlock a world of imagination and self-discovery. It helped me with my own feelings of displacement and worthlessness. I had a lot to unpack, and if I could do it, anybody could. Whenever I gave collage my undivided attention, my mind was filled with a sense of calm, and I found myself lost in the creative process. I wanted to share that gratifying and transformative experience with other people.
